Bexley is situated in South East London, within the London Borough of Bexley. Locally the area is sometimes referred to as Bexley Village to differentiate it from the eponymous borough.

Bexley is a great area for families and commuters. There are many substantial family houses on generously proportioned garden plots, and it is largely located within the catchment area of some of the best independent and grammar schools in the country. Bexley offers a village feel but is well located if you are looking for a night out with Greenwich, Bromley and Dartford nearby and with excellent rail links to London.

Things to See and Do

The main landmark in Bexley is the parish church. It is over 800 years old and appears in the Domesday Survey (1086).

If you have time to explore the High street, why not stop at some of the great eateries such as Ferraris Italian or Hamers for a fantastic steak and chips.

We also recommend the Old Bexley Greek Taverna which for over twenty years has been serving delicious traditional Greek food – yum.

Well worth a visit is Hall Place & Gardens. Located just outside of Bexley the historic house and gardens (plus exhibitions and public events) are not to be missed.

Transport

Bexley has a main line station with links to London Bridge, London Charing Cross and London Cannon Street as part of a loop which services both via Sidcup and via Woolwich Arsenal. Heading away from London trains got to Dartford, Gravesend, Rochester and beyond.

Bexley has several Transport for London bus services connecting with Abbeywood, Bexleyheath, Bromley, Crayford, Chislehurst, Dartford, Eltham, Erith, North Greenwich, Sidcup and Thamesmead.

The average train time from Bexley to Central London is 38 minutes.

Easy access to the M25 which is 5 miles down the A2 via the Black Prince interchange.
